About payment processing
Card payments are processed by Stripe at standard rates (2.9% + $0.30 per transaction). Your customer’s payment goes through Stripe to your account — Plus never holds your money.
The Plus fee above is what we charge on top of Stripe to run the platform, support Lux, and ship new features. It’s shown as a separate line on every invoice. We don’t mark up card processing.

The Free plan has no subscription cost ($0/mo) and no credit card is required to sign up — you get 25 invoices and 15 AI chats per month. Free charges a 1.9% Plus fee on every Stripe-processed transaction; every paid plan drops that to a flat 1.0% Plus fee. Card processing (Stripe 2.9% + $0.30) is passed through separately and shown clearly on every invoice — we don’t mark it up.
You can upgrade anytime from your dashboard. Your new plan activates immediately and you're only charged the pro-rated amount for the remainder of the billing cycle.

Yes — Plus accepts online card and ACH payments today through Stripe; clients pay directly from their invoice link. Tap to Pay on iPhone (contactless cards and Apple Pay through your iPhone's NFC reader) is coming soon, pending Apple's Tap to Pay entitlement. When it ships, Free will include 10 Tap to Pay transactions per month and every paid plan will be unlimited.
